Paul Fuller has been committed to environmental and resource management for over thirty years. After graduating as a geologist Paul worked in the mining industry for five years, then moved into waste management and regulation at the Waste Management Authority in Sydney. When the New South Wales Environment Protection Authority was formed in 1991 Paul covered various roles, including environmental regulation, economic assessment, policy development and expert advice and witness in legal cases. After completing a dual civil and environmental engineering degree, Paul moved to project management of water supply, environmental flows and energy efficiency projects as both an employee and as the principal of his own consultancy. More recently Paul has been managing natural hazard mitigation projects, including assessing the current risk and risk under projected climate change, improving meteorological forecasting of extreme weather events, modelling emergency evacuation, and increasing community awareness of natural hazards.
