Patrick Danaher is Professor (Educational Research) in the School of Education at the Toowoomba campus of the University of Southern Queensland, Australia. He is also currently an Adjunct Professor in the School of Education and the Arts at Central Queensland University, and also in the Division of Tropical Environments and Societies at James Cook University, both in Australia, and also Docent in Social Justice and Education at the University of Helsinki, Finland. He has research interests in the education of occupationally mobile families; academics’, educators’ and researchers’ work and identities; and education research concepts, ethics, politics and theories. He is co-author of seven research books, and sole and co-editor of 25 research books. Patrick is interested in the multiple ways in which individuals and groups strive to create diverse and alternative futures, framed and informed by their respective beliefs and values. He is intrigued also by the ways in which those beliefs and values can be supported, challenged and where appropriate reframed through formal and informal learning.
