Research Assistant

Nimanie is a current PhD student studying Horticulture at Griffith University. Her PhD is on improving tropical fruit yield and quality through pollination and crop nutrition. She has previously worked as a research assistant before beginning her current studies. Her research experience is in plant biotechnology and agricultural sciences. Specifically, she is interested in plant sciences, crop nutrition, and plant breeding.

Nimanie has joined THRIVE as a research volunteer through her desire to work with a multidisciplinary research team, in order to achieve sustainable development goals. Nimanie has a passion for researching and sharing these research findings with the community, in order to make a positive difference. Through THRIVE. she hopes to use her knowledge and expertise to promote sustainability-especially in the fields of food and agriculture. She is also glad to gather experience and work with people from different fields.
