Anita is studying Science with a Major in Mathematics at The University of Queensland (UQ). She is currently in her Honours year working on one undergraduate research project in fisheries population modelling, where her Honours research project is in approximating stochastic logistic models and more complex stochastic models. During her undergraduate course, she has carried out research projects involving fitting data, and computational modelling. As well as studying, Anita also works as a Teaching Assistant and other science student engagement roles at UQ, and has been doing so for the last two years.
At THRIVE, Anita works as a content writer where she enjoys writing, and getting to learn about topics in the field of sustainability/thrivability. She has an interest in STEM (Science, Maths and Engineering mainly), particularly the theory and techniques that scientists are using to better understand the world, and how this translates into policy and practice. She’s also interested in education and communication.
